PACER workshop in St. Cloud will focus on challenging behaviors and school success
PACER Center will offer ?ÄúChallenging Behaviors, Positive Supports, and School Success,?Äù a free workshop for parents of children and youth with disabilities. It will take place from
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2,
at GrandStay Hotel, 213 Sixth Ave. S.,
Children and youth can struggle at school if challenging behaviors are present. This workshop will offer information, resources, and tips on how positive supports and school-based services can increase school success.
Topics will include:
Strategies and ideas to promote wellness and person-centered principles when addressing a child?Äôs challenging behaviors
Understanding the role of positive behavioral interventions and supports
Tips for effective communication with the child?Äôs school staff when challenging behaviors are present
