Arvig seeks nominations of local disabled veterans

For CoBank’s No Barriers Program

Arvig is pleased to participate in a national program to nominate veterans with disabilities for a chance to go on a 2018 No Barriers expedition.

The CoBank/No Barriers program offers the opportunity for rural veterans to attend one five-day expedition in Colorado or the annual No Barriers Summit. Activities are designed to accommodate participation by veterans with a wide array of disabilities–whether visible or invisible (i.e., PTSD).

• July 5-9 and July 19-23, 2018: Two moderate-level expeditions involving rafting, rock climbing and trekking activities held

• Aug. 3-7 and 17-21, 2018: Two difficult-level expeditions involving physically challenging, backcountry itinerary and a mountain summit attempt

• Oct. 5-6, 2018: No Barriers Summit in New York, suitable for veterans of any disability level. Allows a caregiver or family member to attend as well.

CoBank, a national cooperative lender, will cover the full cost of any veteran selected by No Barriers. It is open to the first 50 nominated veterans nationwide who meet all program requirements.

If you or someone you know is a disabled veteran who may be interested in this experience, please fill out the form at arvig.net/nobarriers before March 30. An Arvig representative will contact you to verify your interest, and work with you to complete the CoBank/No Barriers program application before the official April 13 deadline.

Nominees must be an Arvig customer and have a VA disability rating.
