WTP Control System Improvements

Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the City until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 24,
2020 at City Hall located at
1 Main Street North, Kimball, MN 55353, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of the WTP Control Systems Improvements project.

Major components of the Work include:

1. Replacing the water treatment plant PLC control panel.

2. Various process and electrical improvements within the water treatment plant.

3. Replacing the water tower SCADA RTU and various water tower improvements.

Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®) dated February 21, 2020.

Paper copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from Docunet Corp. located at 2435 Xenium Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55441 (763.475.9600) for a fee of $100.

A pre-Bid Open House will occur between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11,
2020 at the Water Treatment Plant. This Open House will allow the opportunity for bidders to enter the facility and observe existing conditions. Although attendance is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged that all bidders take advantage of this opportunity. There will be no formal presentation provided and no questions associated with the bidding documents will be answered at this Open House.

Questions should be submitted in writing to Chad Westbrook, Project manager at cwestbrook@sehinc.com no less than 10 calendar days prior to the Bid Opening.

Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, “BID FOR WTP CONTROL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS, -KIMBALL, MN, KIMBA 153621.”

The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
