Couples enjoy golfing together

Couples having fun playing
golf will be evident at Kimball Golf Club’s Couples’ Night on Friday, June 4, starting at 6 p.m. when nine holes of golf will feature games, prizes, food, and more. Playing slots will be available until noon on Friday.
Golf teaching professionals say couples enjoy playing golf together when they refrain from teaching each other during their round of golf. Teaching is done on the driving range. Playing golf as couples is fun when couples cheer each other and ignore the temptation to coach and correct the play of their partner.
Ladies score holes-in-one
Mary Spaulding scored a hole-in-one last Friday on the par 3 hole #6 with her 9 iron. The hole location was not visible from the tee box, so Mary was surprised and delighted to find her ball in the hole. She has been playing golf at KGC since its opening in 1968. This was Mary’s second hole-in-one.
Linda Linz, playing in the Ladies’ League last week with partners Mary Dockendorf and Mary Neisen, scored her hole-in-one on the par 3 hole #6 using a pitching wedge from the tee box at 95 yards.
Congratulations to Mary and Linda!
