Paramount Center for the Arts announces lineup of fall performances

This fall, the Paramount Center for the Arts jumps back into programming after 15 months of being shuttered due to the pandemic. The Paramount Center for the Arts – celebrating the Theatre’s 100th anniversary in 2021 – is known throughout the region for presenting local, national and international artists both on its stage and through its visual arts programs. On Monday, July 12, the Paramount announced the artists that make up the fall 2021 “Paramount Presents” series. The performances cover a wide range of artistic tastes, from music – bluegrass, roots, country, classical, soul, jazz, and a cappella – to comedy, dance, theatre, and more.

Tickets went on sale to the general public starting Monday, July 19, at www.paramountarts.org or through the Paramount box office at (320) 259-5463.

The “Paramount Presents” fall season begins Friday, Sept. 24, at the Paramount’s annual Autumn Moon fundraiser, titled “Century Celebration” in honor of the theatre’s 100th anniversary. This year’s featured band is the jazz/rock combo The New Standards, plus a big band playing songs from their favorite films. Tickets for “The New Standards” at the Paramount’s Autumn Moon fundraiser are $85. The event includes a pre-show reception with live music and cash bar. Sponsorships start at $250 and include a gourmet dinner, a private pre-show reception, premium seating, and other perks. Tickets and more information can be found at www.paramountarts.org.

Starting in October, the Fall “Paramount Presents” lineup includes:

• Friday, Oct. 1 – SHAPESHIFT –
powerful stories told through modern dance.

• Saturday, Oct. 2 – Brat Pack Radio – hits from the ’80s.

• Sunday, Oct. 3 – Okee Dokee Brothers – American bluegrass and roots – Family show.

• Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Remembering Hee Haw – starring the Kornfield Friends.

• Friday, Oct. 22 – Katha Dance Theatre – Dance of North India.

• Sunday, Oct. 24 – “Way Down East” – silent movie that opened the Paramount in 1921.

• Tuesday, Oct. 26 – Killer Country with the Killer Vees – timeless country classics.

• Tuesday, Nov. 2, and -Wednesday, Nov. 3 – Branson Country Christmas – Holiday variety show with music, comedy and more.

• Friday, Nov. 5 – Laurie -Forster, The Wine Coach – comedy and wine tasting.

• Sunday, Nov. 7 – Luca -Stricagnoli – innovative Italian guitarist.

• Saturday, Dec. 4 – Christmas with the Steeles – sacred and secular songs of the season.

• Monday, Dec. 13 – George Maurer Group – 24-year tradition of Holiday jazz at the Paramount.

• Tuesday, Dec. 28 – The Texas Tenors: Deep in the Heart of Christmas – one of the most requested groups returns to the Paramount stage.

• Friday, Dec. 31 – Tonic Sol Fa – a cappella quartet – New Year’s Eve.

In addition to these national and international performers featured throughout the fall, many other local and regional artists utilize the Paramount stage throughout the year. The Paramount is proud to serve as the venue for many outstanding community groups like GREAT Theatre, The Fabulous Armadillos, TEDxStCloud, Stroia Ballet, Rock n Roll Xmas Spectacular, North Crest Dance, LEAF, Minnesota Dance Ensemble,
St. Cloud Municipal Band, and the Boys and Girls Club, to name a few.

Spring 2022 performances will be announced in December.

The mission of the Paramount Center for the Arts, located in downtown St. Cloud, is to provide opportunities for artistic production, creative exploration, arts education, and the enjoyment of arts and entertainment throughout Central Minnesota and beyond. The Paramount Center for the Arts includes an 800-seat historic theatre – celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2021 – plus more than 8,500 square feet of visual arts studios, community outreach programs, and three
