Kimball man charged with fleeing police

Samuel Christ, 33 of -Kimball was arrested Saturday, Aug. 28, after a high-speed chase. He was spotted in Morrison County, speeding on Highway 27; he was wanted on several Stearns County warrants at the time. At one point, it is believed his speed exceeded 100 mph. Officers attempted a PIT maneuver (pursuit intervention technique), but he continued through it until he apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch along Highway 10.

Police say Christ fled on foot after the crash, but an officer was able to catch him. They report that Christ had a small amount of methamphetamine on his person, and that more meth was found in the car.

Christ is in Morrison County Jail, charged with four felonies and a misdemeanor related to drugs and fleeing an officer..
