The Kimball School Board held their regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021.
The consent agenda was approved, including hiring two paraprofessionals.
The principals reported on great things happening in classrooms, Character Strong activities, a shortage of substitute teachers and para’s, a volunteer for fitness center supervision, band concert/dinner for fundraising, additional elementary social worker has a full schedule, PIE meeting, Chromebooks finally arrived, and parent-teacher conferences on Nov. 2 and 4, with a workshop day Nov. 5.
Superintendent Widvey gave an update on the IAQ project and storage shed progress, MSBA Conference in January, Stearns County Family Services meeting in February, total enrollment over 800 counting preschoolers, and Enrollment Loss funds arriving in November.
The board accepted the FY21 Annual Audit as presented, hired an additional paraprofessional, abolished Policies 510.7 and 510.8, and approved 19 policies that were reviewed.
