Applications are now being accepted for the Miss Stearns County competition. The winner will have the honor of representing the county at the Miss Minnesota Pageant to be held March 12-13, 2005, in Ritsche Auditorium at St. Cloud State University. The woman chosen as Miss Stearns County will be an ambassador from the county and will receive an official title and sash. She will receive a prize package worth $5,000 and the chance to represent Minnesota at the 2005 Miss International Pageant. To compete in the Miss Stearns County Pageant, a woman must be between the ages of 20-26, never been married, and must be a U.S. citizen living in Minnesota for the past six months. Areas of competition are personal interview, fitness wear, fun fashion wear and evening gown.
