Kimball football, a whopping loss
To say the Kimball football team is struggling would be like saying there are 60 minutes in an hour, each is quite obvious. Though the Cubs dropped their homecoming game to top-ranked Pierz last Friday, 62-6, it was Kimball?Äôs ?Äú6?Äù that was the most important highlight of the evening. Setting a Kimball school record, junior Dunkin Westrich returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown. So, is there a silver lining to every cloud? More often than not, there is. By the way, there was also a whole lot of team work that went into that run back, and despite the rough ride this season, the Cubs are giving it their all and taking it like men. ?ÄúAttack the Day?Äù!
Individual Stats: Passing: Jacob Borman, 12-23, 65 yards; Rushing: Dunkin Westrich, 2 for 3 yards; Brady Mehr, 10 for 33 yards; Troy Filzen, 8 for 18 yards; Receiving: Jarred Merchant, 5 for 31 yards; Dunkin Westrich, 2 for 10 yards; Mason Hennen, 1 for 6 yards; Brady Mehr, 4 for 18 yards; Kick Returns: Dunkin Westrich, 5 for 154 yards, TD; John Zipoy, 2 for 10 yards; Mason Hennen, 1 for 13

Pierz 62 ?Äì Kimball 6
Pierz is at the top of the pack at 4-0, 5-0 and Kimball is now 0-4, 0-5.
Teammates celebrate with Dunkin Westrich in the endzone after his 96-yard touchdown. The junior wide receiver?Äôs six points would be the only ones scored by the Kimball Cubs at their Homecoming
game against Pierz. The
Pioneers clobbered the Cubs by a score of 62-6. But at least the Cubs didn?Äôt go scoreless.
