The Cubs played in the Dassel-Cokato Invitational tournament on Saturday, Sept. 22, and the girls had an action-filled day. Tournament entrants included DeLaSalle, Eden Valley-Watkins, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Kimball, Pipestone, Rockford, Sartell, and Dassel-Cokato. (Kimball Results): Sartell, 2 – Kimball, 0 (25-12, and 25-19); Pipestone, 2 – Kimball, 0 (25-19, and 25-19); Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, 2 – Kimball, 0 (25-13, and 25-17); DeLaSalle, 2 – Kimball, 1 (25-19, 23-25, and 15-13). Championship Game: Sartell, 2 – Rockford, 0 (25-20, 25-17).
