K-EV-W boys?Äô golf team looks good in opener

The Central Minnesota Conference boys?Äô golf meet at Prairie View last Friday, April 4, resulted in a good team showing for the Kimball-Eden Valley-Watkins bunch. They finished with an aggregate score of 186, smack dab in the middle of the pack. Second-year head coach Jason Huschle is pleased with the early-season effort. ?ÄúOverall I was happy with our performance, especially since we have only been outside on the course for a week. We have put ourselves in a good position to finish in the top half of the conference this year which was one our goals coming into the season. Now we just have to focus on getting better and improving on our scores every time we are on the course.?Äù

Competing in the conference battle were Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Kimball-Eden Valley-Watkins, Maple Lake, Pierz, Rockford and Osakis.
