“Livin’ Laughin’ Minnesotans” is the theme of the eighth annual Dollars for Scholars gala Saturday, May 12, at Kimball Area High School cafetorium featuring comic ventriloquist James Wedgewood, silent auction and dinner. Two $250 wildcard scholarship drawings will be held this year. Your ticket is your chance to enter a Kimball Area School District student’s name (of your choice) in the drawing. All scholarships given through the Dollars for Scholars organization in Kimball will be awarded that night. The meal will be catered by Short Stop. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the event begins at 5:30 p.m. Cost for the event is $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Tickets are available at the Kimball school offices or at the State Bank of Kimball. Helpers are needed for the evening and items can still be donated for the silent auction (call Maureen Dingmann at (320) 398-2539).
