The following articles were featured in the Tri-County News issued Sept. 2, 1976. o School enrollment was down six students from 1975. In all, 453 pupils were enrolled at the elementary school and 503 at the high school. o Kimball Ladies Travel Squad Bowling Team took first place in the summer travel league. o Pastor Allen was welcomed as the new pastor at Fair Haven Baptist Church. o Kimball Area Senior Citizens took a bus trip to Little Falls and visited the Charles Lindbergh Center. o A hog show in Sauk Centre awarded $300 in prizes Sept. 8. o Anne Linn was the only Kimball 4-H student who participated in the state fair. She showed chickens. o Cadet Dennis C. Maus of Kimball was an Army ROTC member at St. John’s University. He took part in a six-week training camp in Fort Lewis, Wash.
