On Friday, March 10, Kimball Elementary students wrapped up their annual food drive. Over the two-week period from Feb. 27-March 10, students brought in more than 3,100 items that weighed in at 2,350 pounds.
Classrooms were competing against each other to earn an afternoon of moonlight bowling in the gym. The winning class, bringing in 678 items, was Mrs. Miller’s first-grade class. A parent of one of her students was able to get a donation of 334 pounds of various meat products.
We are so proud of our students for giving back to the community. A huge “thank you” to parents for donating.
