After reaching near 40, we then cool back down to the 20s

It has been a mild start to the week. Temperatures have generally been in the low- to mid-30s. For those who have spring fever already, they are loving the warmer weather. For those who want snow, not a lot is in the forecast at this point.

A fast-moving clipper system arrived on Tuesday that brought some scattered snow to parts of Minnesota, but what it really did is bring the likelihood of slightly cooler temperatures for the midweek throughout the area. 

However, the warmest air in a while is expected to arrive Thursday. This will bring plenty of mid- to upper-30s across the region for daytime highs. Some spots could even see the 40s by Thursday afternoon.

In case you are wondering, the 8- to 14-day outlook is calling for cooler-than-normal temperatures with above-normal precipitation across the state of Minnesota.

Warmer temperatures are headed our way for the rest of this week. Some 40s will be possible on Thursday before a slight cooldown takes place on Friday, but we will remain above normal for this time of the year through this weekend.
