An Ag Conservation Field Day will take place from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Kaschmitter’s Farm at 4467 55th St. N.E. in Sauk Rapids.
The agenda includes:
• 5 p.m. – Brian and Glen Kaschmitter speaking about their farm, irrigation, and MAWQCP.
• 5:30 p.m. – Rainfall simulator demonstration.
• 6 p.m. – Anna Brieger (VP of IAM).
• 6:30 p.m. – Slake test demonstration.

The event also includes nitrate testing, center pivot irrigator model, and strip till equipment.
Well water nitrate testing
• Collect 1 cup of cold water in a clean container, less than 24 hours prior to event.
• Bring in for free nitrate testing.
• If your house uses water treatment equipment other than a softener, it is recommended to take a sample before and after to determine if your system is working properly.
