Agricultural bulb collection

Stearns County’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) division wants to assist farmers with getting rid of their fluorescent bulbs.

The winter agricultural bulb collection program makes it easy for farmers to properly dispose of fluorescent bulbs. All farmers need to do is gather the bulbs that have been piling up; the rest is handled by HHW staff, who will go to the farm site to pick them up. All at no cost.

The HHW crew is taking appointments for bulb collection now until April 2022.

Call (320) 257-8605 to make an appointment or email HHWSW@co.stearns.mn.us. Let them know where to go for pick up and how many bulbs there are to be collected. There is a 100-bulb minimum requirement.

This program is only for agricultural/farm properties, not businesses or residential homeowners
