Alice Erickson died Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2003, in Litchfield. She was 61.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 29, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cokato with Pastor Ed Erickson officiating. Interment followed at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Alice Joan Smith was born Sept. 24, 1942, to Norman and Harriet (Ashwill) Smith in French Lake Township. She grew up near Lake Francis, attended school at the Gunnary School in French Lake, and graduated from Kimball High School in 1960. Alice was united in marriage to Jim Erickson Oct. 22, 1960. They made their home in the French Lake area, and their union was blessed with four children. Alice worked as a bank teller in Annandale for six years. She began work at the State Bank of Cokato in 1991. She served as the treasurer of the French Lake Township and treasurer of her church, Immanuel Lutheran. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, gardening, canning, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Jim of Annandale; children John Erickson, Jody (and Mark) Johnson, Darrin (and Melanie) Erickson, and Dale Erickson, all of Annandale; and grandchildren Travis, Brady, Ryder, Cruz, Jett, Dustin and Melissa.
Casket bearers were Darrel Schauer, Chuck Ortquist, Thad Ashwill, Tom Ashwill, Larry Ashwill and Gary Forsman. Music was provided by Carolyn Thompson, Debbie and Darrel Schauer, and Penny Blanchard. Arrangements were by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home, Cokato.
