Alvera Gohmann of Kimball died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Heritage House of Kimball. She was 92.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake with Fr. Ronald Weyrens as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 4:15 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Alvera Ann Gohmann was born Dec. 31, 1924, in St. Cloud to George and Margaret (Silvernagle) Kloeppner. She grew up in Clearwater. She was united in marriage to George Gohmann Oct. 20, 1943, at St. Mary Help of Christians in St. Augusta; he preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2011. They lived in St. Cloud until moving to Pearl Lake in 1973, and to Kimball in 1997. Alvera moved to Onalaska, Wisc., to live with her daughter five years ago, and moved to Heritage House in Kimball in 2014. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic Financial, and the Pearl Lake Quilters Group. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, fishing, and playing cards. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her family.

Alvera was preceded in death by her parents George and Margaret Kloeppner, husband George Gohmann, and sister Pat Ruehle.

She is survived by her children Eugene (and Gloria) Gohmann of Kimball, Ray (and Sharon) Gohmann of Luxemburg, Duane (and Deb) Gohmann of Anoka, Joan (and Mike) Hoppens of Onalaska, Wisc., Betty (and Bob) Henkemeyer of Waite Park, and Greg (and Sandi) Gohmann of St. Cloud; 14 grandchildren: Teresa, John, Rod, Tracey, Shawn, Chad, Jeremy, Andy, Michelle, Nick, Matt, Rachel, Christopher, and Katy; 14 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; brother Richard (and Marion) Kloeppner of Clearwater, and sister Edna Kieke of St. Cloud, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Casketbearers will be Chad, Rod, John and Matthew Gohmann, Tyler and Michael Nelson, and Chris Lenarz. Julene Faber-Andrusick and Katy Walmsley will provide music for the service. Arrangements were entrusted toDingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
