American Red Cross swimming lessons available at Watkins Area Pool
Registration opens in-person at the Watkins Village Hall, 110 Central Avenue South, from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025. No early registrations. Registrations can be made with City Hall starting May 5.
Sessions will run Monday through Thursday for two weeks. Class will only be held on Friday if a makeup day is needed due to bad weather. Class size will be limited to 6 students per levels 1-5, and 5 students per preschool class. Classes also will be subject to change if the class is not at least half full one week prior to the start of class.
Children must be at least 5 years old and at least 42” tall to enter Level 1. Preschool A is for children 3 years and older. Preschool B is for children 4 years and older. The Preschool level may not be instructed per American Red Cross. The City may have either a lifeguard or a WSI instructing the preschool classes.
Levels 1-5: $55 per session. Preschool: $45 per session. Payment is due at time of registration. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE.
Weather policy: The city will only cancel lessons if there is impending severe weather or thunder/lightning is present. Classes will NOT be cancelled due to rain or cooler temperatures.
