Ann Lenox, 95, of Litchfield died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball. Burial will follow in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Ann was born June 13, 1907, in Haarlem, Holland, to Wynand and Corneila (VanZanten) Bakker. She married George E. Lenox on Oct. 2, 1937, in Minneapolis; he preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1972. She was employed by Munsingwear in Minneapolis for 13 years and was also a homemaker. She lived most of her life near Kimball, from 1977-1997 at the Lincoln Apartments in Litchfield, and for the past four years at Emmanuel Lutheran Home. She loved singing, dancing, gardening and baking. Ann Lenox was preceded in death by her husband George, brother Henry and sister Gertrude Gable. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Donna (and Clare) Grendler of Circle Pines; Donald (and Melanie) Allen of Chicago, Ill.; Margaret Elshaug of Ham Lake; and Richard Allen of Plymouth. Music for the service will be provided by Jane Rannow. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
