The Annandale Co-op Alpine Ski team debuted at the Brainerd Warrior Alpine Holiday Invitational on Friday, Dec. 27, at Mount Ski Gull in Nisswa.
Despite the heavy fog and warm temperatures in the mid-30s, the girls’ team took third place with Shirley Langbehn in eighth overall with a time of 55.20 seconds, and Brooke Niedzielski in ninth overall with a 55.84. Faith Pool took 19th, and Paisley Goff 23rd. Raigan Miller took second overall for JV.
For the boys’ team, Ian Langbehn claimed top 15 at 49.81 seconds, followed by Evan Muetzel at 1:07:19.
The Annandale Co-op Alpine Ski team consists of a cooperative of schools including Annandale, Buffalo, Delano, Holy Spirit Academy, Kimball, Litchfield, Maple Lake, New London-Spicer, and STMA.
Next on the schedule is a scrimmage at Powder Ridge between Annandale Co-op and the St. Cloud Breakaways, followed by the Detroit Lakes Invite on Monday, Jan. 6, at Detroit Mountain in Detroit Lakes.
