The top-ranked Annandale Cardinals ended the Kimball Cubs boys’ basketball season in the first round of the District 20 – Section 5AA playoffs by score of 67-44. The Cubs took an early 8-2 lead when Eric Voigt hit a three-pointer, but then Annandale took over. Kimball only scored five points in the third quarter and Annandale pulled away. The Cubs were led by Eric Voigt who finished the game with 12 points, followed by Preston Looman who dumped 10 points. Joe Masberg and Aaron Rossman contributed eight and seven points respectively. Matt Landwehr chipped in five points, and Josh Orn rounded out the scoring with two points.
