We’re Going on a Bear “Scavenger” Hunt at the Library
Visit the library during the month of November to hunt for “bears.” You may need to travel through long wavy grass and a swirling whirling snowstorm, but you’re not scared. For ages 3-13. Sponsored by the Annandale Friends of the Library. Going on the whole month of November during library open hours.
Reading Hounds
Golden retriever, Greta Louise and Alice the cockapoo love good books and can’t wait to be read to at the library. Ages 4 and up from 3:30-4:30 p.m., Fridays, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7.
Gingerbread House
Get out of the cold and come into the library. A large felt board gingerbread house is waiting for you to decorate and redecorate during the cold month of December. For ages 3-13, Dec. 1-29, during Library open hours.
Make and Take Holiday Gift
Decorate a holiday gift for someone special. All supplies will be provided, must be completed in the library. Limit of 24, for ages 3-13. Starts Dec. 3 and continues while supplies last during library open hours.
Teen events
Book Page Art Prints
Coloring is a proven way to reduce stress. Create a piece of work that will be worth framing just by coloring images that have been printed on antique sheet music or book pages. All materials will be provided including Prismacolor colored pencils, gamsol and blending pencils. Bring in your own project and use our materials. For ages 16 and up. Individuals or groups of 12 or less are welcome. Starts Nov. 1, during library open hours.
Let the Board Games Begin
Gather some friends and come to the library for a game day. Bring your own game or use one of ours. The Annandale Friends of the Library have purchased Scrabble, Boggle, Bananagrams and Trouble just for you.
Adult events
Music in the Library with Angie Hoeft
Enjoy beautiful music from accomplished guitarist Angie Hoeft while you do your browsing in the library. A variety of styles and eras make for musical enjoyment. For all ages.
