The fifth annual Senior Expo will be from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Whitney Senior Center, 1527 Northway Drive. This free event provides seniors and adult children with information on senior resources available in Central Minnesota. The expo features health care, housing, finance, fitness and safety vendors along with free lunch, health screenings, door prizes and music. The keynote presentation at 10 a.m. is Jason Davis’ “On the Road to Recovery.” With more than 38 years of experience in broadcast journalism, Davis is featured in 5 Eyewitness News’ On the Road series. His presentation will focus on his recent battle with prostate cancer. Other speakers include: Edward Y. Cheng, M.D., of the University of Minnesota, who will discuss hip and knee replacement surgery – “Is it for me?” – at 8 a.m., and Dr. Linda Havir, of St. Cloud State University, presents “Normal and Healthy Aging” at 12:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Good Shepherd Community and the St. Cloud Times.
