Thursday, Oct. 11 is the day Kimball celebrated National Farm to School Month by crunching into locally grown apples from Carlson’s Orchard in Annandale. The Great Apple Crunch is a nationwide event consisting of one million participants. The Apple Crunch event is also done to help promote National School Lunch week which started Oct. 15.
