Area Veterans Day programs 

Kimball Area High School: Monday, Nov. 10, 8:45 a.m.

The Kimball Legion and Auxiliary will present a Veterans Day program at Kimball Area High School at 8:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the Wirth Gym. Local veterans are encouraged to attend. A slide show of local veterans will be shown, and more photos are sought (get them to Tammy Konz ASAP). Everyone is invited to attend this program.

Eden Valley-Watkins High School: Monday, Nov. 10, 7:30 p.m.

The EV-W Music Department invites you to the 19th Annual Veterans Day Program, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the EV-W High School Auxiliary Gym. The EV-W choirs and bands will be performing and our speaker is Captain Steve Thielen.

Units representing our communities are: Eden Valley Legion Post #381 and Auxiliary Unit, Watkins Legion Post #453, Wat-Kim-Valley VFW Post #5460 and Auxiliary Unit and the POW-MIA Honor Guard. A community sing of ?ÄúA Patriotic Salute?Äù will end the program. Everyone is invited

Hilltop Health Care Center: Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1:30 p.m.

A Veterans Day Recognition program will be held at Hilltop Health Care Center at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11. Members of the American  Legion will speak. 

Church of St. Anthony: Sunday, Nov. 9, 8 a.m. Mass

A special mass honoring veterans will be held at 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Church of St. Anthony in Watkins. Everyone is invited to this ?ÄúCelebration of Living Heroes?Äù Mass. A reception will follow Mass.

Assumption Church: Sunday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. Mass

A ?ÄúCelebration of Living Heroes?Äù Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. Everyone is invited to attend, especially veterans.

St. Cloud VA Medical Center

Sunday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m., the St. Cloud Metropolitan Veterans Council, Times Media, City of St. Cloud, and the St. Cloud VA Health Care System host the eighth annual Veterans Day Parade to honor the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. The parade begins on the west side of the VA Medical Center and proceeds east across 44th Avenue and concludes on the north side of Apollo High School. Immediately after the parade there will be a ?ÄúThank You?Äù Open House in the Apollo Commons, at which the public can thank veterans in person. Light snacks will be provided.

Tuesday, Nov. 11, the St. Cloud Metropolitan Veterans Council is sponsoring a Veterans Day program at 1:30 p.m. in Building 8 (Auditorium) at the St. Cloud VA. Jeremy Wolfsteller, a U.S. Army veteran and Assistant Service Officer for the American Legion, Department of Minnesota, will provide the keynote address. Parking is available to the north and east of Building 8.

Veterans, their families and members of the public are invited to attend.
