The Wright County Sheriff’s office is investigating a fire that destroyed a cabin at 4695 Rhoades Ave. NW, South Haven, on Lake Francis. It has been determined that the cause of the fire was arson, and the Sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s help in solving it. At 4:46 a.m. Thursday, July 1, someone driving by the cabin saw the fire and called 911. The first firefighter from South Haven Fire Department arrived at 4:51 a.m. to find the cabin already fully engulfed. The cabin is on the east shore of Lake Francis. Anyone with information about this fire should call the Arson Hotline at (800) 723-2020 or the Wright County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 682-1162. A reward of up to $2,500 is offered for information leading to the identification of persons responsible for this fire.
