Arthur Achman of Cold Spring and formerly of Kimball died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Assumption Home at Cold Spring. He was 89.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. today (Thursday, May 24),   at Holy Cross Catholic Church at Pearl Lake (Marty) with Rev. Anthony Oelrich officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery, Pearl Lake (Marty). Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church in Pearl Lake. Parish prayers were at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Arthur S. Achman was born March 22, 1918, in Avon to Joseph J. and Dorothy “Dora” (Meyer) Achman. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942-1945. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #1062. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; son Richard J. Achman March 10, 2005; brothers Harold and Lawrence Achman; and sister Alice Achman.
Arthur is survived by son and daughters Jim Achman of Annandale, Carla (and Jim) Primus of St. Cloud and their children Lisa and Jacob Primus, Kathleen Achman of St. Cloud; daughter-in-law Suzanne Achman of Kimball and her children Michael, Erik (and Erica), Adam and Matthew Achman; brother and sisters Ervin Achman of New Ulm, Dorothy Zenzen of Elk River, Jean Morgel of St. Paul Park and Harriet Spohn of Burnsville.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
