B-squad boys lose two

Kimball hosted the Lakers from Howard Lake Waverly-Winsted on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The Lakers started the contest shooting well and controlling the first half building a 36-21 lead. In the second half, Kimball struggled to gain any offensive momentum scoring only 11 points in the half while Howard Lake closed out a 62-32 win. The Cubs were led in scoring by Sam Scheeler with 13 points, Eric Nystrom eight points, Bobby Arens six points, and Andy Dingmann with five points. On Friday, Feb. 16, the Cubs traveled to Belgrade where the Cubs trailed early and into halftime 31-23. Kimball was able to cut BBE’s lead to four points in the second half but BBE pulled away down the stretch for a 57-40 win. Scheeler again led all players in scoring with 23 points, Nystrom had six points, Pat Libbesmeier scored four points, Travis Erickson had three points, while Andy Dingmann and Jonathon Gilpatrick each finished with two points. The losses drops the Cubs season record to 6-12 on the season.
