A free music program for senior citizens featuring nationally known folksinger and songwriter Charlie Maguire, along with local children, will sing a sampling of songs and music about barns from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the Wright County Heritage Center, located at 2001 Hwy. 25 North in Buffalo. Visitors are invited to tour the Heritage Center and view the Smithsonian Institution’s “Barn Again! Celebrating an American Icon” traveling exhibition, and also an exhibit about Wright County barns. The exhibit highlights the barn as an architectural structure and looks at the origin and future of the barn in its many roles. The exhibit will be on display from July 6 through Aug. 14, 2004.
