Tuesday, Dec. 27, at about 3:44 a.m., the Stearns County Sheriff?Äôs Office received a report of a barn fire at 24643 260th Street in Munson Township. St. Martin Fire & Rescue, Chain of Lakes Fire & Rescue, Paynesville Ambulance and the Stearns County Sheriff?Äôs Office responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, St. Martin Fire found the building fully engulfed. The barn was used primarily for storage and there were no animals inside at the time. Items inside the shed included two lawn mowers, two four wheelers and other farm related items. The cause of fire is unknown at this time. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire.
