The Kimball boys’ and girls’ basketball coaching staffs held basketball camps last week at Kimball Area High School and Kimball Elementary School. Participants of the boys’ and girls’ Junior High Camp included Ellen Arnold, Patrick Arnold, Raelynn Callander, Hollie Donnay, Cameron Hunt, Tiffany Kuechle, Adam Laabs, Kelsey Libbesmeier, Jarred Merchant, Brad Mies, Austin Roerick, Brandon Schiefelbein, Shelby Schiefelbein, Tess Vossen, and Connor Wittenberg. Elementary participants included Matthew Arnold, Alex Donnay, Michael Hoffman, Becky Holtz, Erika Johnson, Elenore Kunkel, Grace Kunkel, Ariel Laabs, Parker Lano, Katelynn Loehrer, Katie Merchant, Sawyer Mies, Tyson Powell, Amanda Roerick, Abbey Schiefelbein, Alexis Streit, Emily Utecht, and Maicy Vossen. The players learned about the different fundamentals of basketball related to ball-handling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defense. They also participated in a number of contests both individually and as a team. All of the campers worked extremely hard and improved tremendously throughout the course of the week. Jay Klein
