Benedicta Linn died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, at her Kimball home. She was 91. 
Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at the Church of St. Anne in Kimball. A public celebration of Benedicta’s life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Benedicta Marquart was born June 17, 1929, in Orrin, N.D., to Ludwig and Elizabeth (Bachmeier) Marquart. She married Roy A. Linn Sr. on Sept. 4, 1951, in Orrin. Benedicta was employed by the Rainbow Café, provided in-home childcare, and rounded out her career at St. Cloud State University after 25 years. She was a devoted member of the Church of St. Anne in Kimball. Benedicta was an active member of numerous civic organizations including the 40/8, the Eagles Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed life to its fullest: spending time with family, playing a vigorous game of pinochle, exterminating weeds from her gardens with full determination, and fishing on nearby lakes.
Benedicta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Roy Linn Jr., and brother Fred Marquart.
She is survived by her children Duain (and Kay) Linn of St. Cloud, and Mary Kuhn of Pine River; sister Anna Boese of St. Augusta; daughter-in-law Laurie Linn of Kimball; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved Patches.
Arrangements were by Benson Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
