Benefit for Julia Hoff at Holy Cross Lutheran, July 25

·

Julia Lynn Hoff, daughter of Lynn (Harff) and Jody Hoff of Sauk Rapids, was born May 31, 2004, in the Fergus Falls Hospital. Julia was born six weeks early while the Hoffs were vacationing in the Underwood area. She was airlifted to the Fargo Children’s Hospital with respiratory failure. She remained in the intensive care unit until June 25, when she was welcomed home by her parents and big brother Logan. Julia’s grandparents are Ron and Terre Harff of Watkins and the late Roger and Edith Hoff. There is a benefit planned to help with Julia’s medical expenses. Julia is still dealing with health issues and has a nurse who comes to their home for check-ups. She has been in-and-out of the St. Cloud Hospital for brain scans and to check her blood pressure. The benefit bake sale and silent auction will be after the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services Sunday, July 25, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2555 Clearwater Road in St. Cloud. A freewill offering picnic will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran. The auction will consist of Dairy Queen certificates to homemade craft items, and two halves of corn-fed steer beef. If you would like to donate anything for the bake sale or silent auction, call Audrey Schepper at (320) 252-8816 or Terre Harff at (320) 764-9153. Monetary donations can be sent clearly marked “Hoff benefit” to: Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2555 Clearwater Rd., St. Cloud, MN 56301, or St. John’s Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 307, Kimball, MN 55353. Funds raised will be matched by Thrivent Financial. Lynn and Jody want to thank everyone who has prayed for or otherwise helped their family, as well as those helping with or contributing to the benefit.
