A Benefit is planned (Burger Nite) for Friday, April 28, 5-7:30 p.m. at the Kingston MiniMart, for Kristi (Cates) Taina.
A Benefit is planned also for Saturday, April 29, 1-4 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church 301 Lake Street in Dassel. At this event are sloppy Joes, hot dogs, beans, cole slaw, chips, dessert and beverages are available. A donation of $10 is requested, $5 for children. Silent auction and prizes also available.
Kristi was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May 2016. After undgoing 18 weeks of chemotherapy, five of the weeks along with radiation, the Whipple surgical procedure, and attempting more chemo, it was discovered that the cancer has spread to her liver. She is unable to have further treatment.
