Tom Newman of New Munich, formerly of Kimball, was involved in a motorcycle accident Sept. 5, 2016. He suffered multiple injuries and is still recovering. He is in physical therapy and additional surgery is probable. It is unknown when Tom will be able to return to work or his role as a volunteer firefighter on the New Munich Fire Department. Tom is the son of Lloyd and Carol Newman of Kimball.
The benefit will include live music, silent and live auction, raffles, and a complete meal for a goodwill donation. The time is 4-11 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Melrose Legion located at 265 Co. Rd. 173 SE in Melrose.
