Betty Lee Johnson was born June 24, 1955, to Richard and Betty Irene (Compton) Johnson in Litchfield. She grew up in the Kimball area where she was baptized at the Church of Christ in Kimball. Betty graduated from Kimball Area High School in 1973. Betty was united in marriage to Jeffrey Iverson Sr. at a little church in Lengby, Minn. Together they made their home in the Dassel area. Betty was employed by 3M in Hutchinson for 35+ years as a slitter operator and other jobs over the years. In 2008, Betty moved to Brooten.
Betty had a heart of gold. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter with her whole heart. One of her favorite events was having coffee with her granddaughter Lilly. She enjoyed the Holidays, getting together with her family, sharing a meal and being together. Easter held a special spot in her heart. She loved to make jokes and kid around, and bring treats and presents to her grandchildren. She often could be found making beaded bracelets or going on General Store tours to acquire her craft supplies. Betty had recently started a genealogy project and was touring cemeteries to find cemetery markers. She thoroughly enjoyed getting her hair done.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Stevie Johnson, Karen Johnson, and Mike “Chopper” Johnson.

She is survived by her children Jeff (and Holly) Iverson of Dassel, Melissa Iverson of Eden Valley, and Andrea (and Tony) Norton of Watkins; her special friend Steve Schmit of Brooten; eight grandchildren: Nathaniel Nemitz (and special friend Nikki Guyer), Lilly Thomson (and special friend Jacob Popp), Tristan Wilson (and special friend Katlyn), Keyaria Wilson (and special friend Christian Hendrickson), Alexander Diffley, Madilynn Iverson, Makynzie Iverson, and Morgan Iverson; great-granddaughter Kinsley Hendrickson; sisters Janice (and Rick) Schutz of Cold Spring, Jackie (and Paul) Ruhland of Minnetonka, Wanda (and Steve) Olk of Montrose, and Sherry Schliesing of Howard Lake; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home of Dassel.
