Board of Education, Regular Meeting November 6, 2003 Independent School District 739 o Kimball, MN

The meeting was called to order by chair Kersten at 6:32 p.m. with the Superintendent and all board members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all in attendance. Motion by Kuechle, seconded by Laabs, to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried (MC). Election results were reviewed by the board members. For the four-year term, Kuechle received 186 votes, Serbus received 157 votes, Kersten received 150 votes. There were 41 write-in votes for these seats. For the two-year term, Laabs received 118 votes and Peglow received 96 votes. There were five write-in votes for this seat. Motion by Kuechle, seconded by Laabs, to canvass the election as per the above-stated results. MC. Motion by Gillman, seconded by VanVleet, to accept the Resolution Authorizing Issuance of Certificates of Election and Directing the School District Clerk to Perform Other Election-Related Duties. MC. Member Gillman entered a motion that the members not be compensated for attendance at this meeting due to the minimal amount of time involved. Motion was seconded by Laabs. MC.
