Sunday, Sept. 13, at 2:21 p.m., the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and the Eden Valley Fire & Rescue Squad responded to a boating accident on Eden Lake about two miles northeast of the city of Eden Valley. Dave Loso of St. Joseph, was alone and operating his 16-foot Lund fishing boat, when he lost control of the motor. Loso was thrown out of the boat, without a life jacket, and was struck by the propeller. Loso was picked up by John Stueber in his boat and brought to shore. Loso was treated by Eden Valley Rescue at the scene for cuts to his back. Loso’s boat was stuck doing circles in the middle of the lake. Eden Valley Fire and Rescue went out on the lake in boats to keep other boaters away from the area. After the boat ran out of gas, they towed it to shore.
