Feb. 27, 2007 Kimball 50 – Holdingford 69 The Cubs traveled to Holdingford to take on the Huskers last Tuesday night. Holdingford jumped out to an early lead at 10-2. Kimball fought back and at halftime trailed by only two 27-25. The Cubs started out shooting well in the second half leading 34-31 at one point. However, they could not stop the outside shooting of Lee Maciej, who had five three pointers in the second half. Holdingford went on to win 69-50. Kimball was outscored by 14 points in the last five minutes of the game. Adam Magnuson led the team in scoring with 17. Karl Hunt added 10 points. Adam also led the rebounding effort with eight boards. Jeff Hunt dished out nine assists and Zak Kuseske added three steals.  The games with Albany scheduled for Thursday, March 1, and Maple Lake scheduled for Friday, March 2, were cancelled due to the weather. The Cubs open Section 5A Playoffs on Thursday, March 8, at New London-Spicer at 7:30 p.m.
