Jan 8, 2007 Kimball 54 – HL-W-W 75 The Cubs played a make-up game on Monday night at Howard Lake. Kimball started off slow, falling behind 10-0, but went on a run to tie the score at 12. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted retook the lead 20-18, and then went on to close the half leading 38-27. In the second half, the Cubs fell behind by as much as 25 and the game ended with Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted winning 75-54. The Lakers out-rebounded the Cubs 52-26 on the night. Matt Dingmann led the team in scoring with 10 points, followed by Jeff Hunt and Logan Looman with eight each. Jan. 11, 2007 Kimball 43 – EV-W 59 On Thursday night, Kimball traveled to Eden Valley-Watkins to take on th Eagles. Again, the Cubs started off slowly, trailing 19-6 just over mid-way through the first half. The Cubs kept battling and found themselves down by 11 at the half 29-18. In the second half, Kimball rallied to cut the lead to eight with about eight minutes to play. However, Eden Valley’s inside game proved to be too much for the Cubs as they went on to win 59-43. Adam Magnuson’s 22 points led the Cubs. Kimball was to play at home on Tuesday against Holdingford, and then travels to Maple Lake Friday.
