The 2017 Stearns County Breakfast on the Farm will be hosted by Kuechle Dairy near Eden Valley. This is the 10th year of the program.
The date is Saturday, June 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Because there is no parking at the farm, a free shuttle bus is available at Eden Valley Elementary School during the same hours to bring you safely to and from the farm. (The school?Äôs address is 901 Stearns Ave. E. in Eden Valley.)
Of course, a main event is the hearty breakfast served for just $5 a plate (free for kids age 5 and younger). Breakfast includes pancakes, French toast, sausage, eggs, milk, juice and coffee.
But there?Äôs more to Breakfast on the Farm than just breakfast. Much more.
There will be guided tours of the farm. It will be covered live on the radio. You can visit the baby farm animals in the petting zoo. There?Äôs a children?Äôs activity area where kids can color. There will be a horse-drawn wagon as well as a little farm hands train. Have your photo taken with a newborn calf. Dairy Princesses will be serving ice cream cones and cheese snacks. You can race
through the farm obstacle course with Minnesota Vikings Football Cheerleaders. And ag exhibitors will be on hand as well.
The event goes on, rain or shine, so dress for the day?Äôs weather. It might help to wear comfortable walking shoes.
