Brewers fall to Clippers

The Clippers shut out the Brewers Sunday afternoon, May 16, in Watkins. The Clippers scored 1 in the second inning, and topped it off with 3 runs in the eighth.

Dustin Kramer led the Clippers with 4 singles in 4 at-bats for 2 RBI. Justin Tompson hit a pair of doubles on the game. Matt Geislinger hit a double in the eighth. Nolan Geislinger had 2 RBI on a single.

Justin Tompson earned the win for the Clippers. He pitched 7 innings, striking out 7. Matt Geislinger pitched the final two innings. Together, they pitched a shutout game.

Austin Klaverkamp takes the loss for Luxemburg. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits during his 6 innings on the mound, and struck out 4. (He also hit four batters.) Connor Clark pitched the final two innings, allowing three more Clippers runs.

The Brewers had only 6 hits to the Clippers’ 11. Noah Grove hit a double in the third, while Connor Clark and Isaac Matchinsky each hit a pair of singles.
