Wellness Classes
Stroke Support Group: Free support group for people who have had a stroke and/or brain injury and their families. Meets monthly on the second Wednesday,

Before Surgery Party for Children: Children watch a video and learn about the Surgery and outpatient Center. Call to schedule an appointment. FREE
Chronic Pain Self-Management program: A community program to help people live successful with chronic pain. This program provides knowledge and information, teaches skills that people can use to manage chronic pain, gives people greater confidence in their ability to manage chronic pain and helps improve quality of life. Insulation, A Stress Management Tool: We don’t try to stop the cold to stay warm; rather we insulate to keep the warmth in and the cold out. How can we do the same with stress? We aren’t going to stop stress, but we don’t have to let it take over. “Having” stress isn’t the same as “Being” stressed. Learn some insulation strategies in this presentation by Dr. Super. CPR and First Aid Classes
Pediatric Heartsaver CPR, AED and First AidÐMay 12,

Meets child day care training requirements and is recommended for anyone who works with or cares for children. Topics include first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and child and infant CPR and AED. $65
Heartsaver CPR, AED and First AidÐSaturday, May 5,
8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
For those who have a duty to respond to cardiac or first aid emergencies. Teaches how to recognize and treat emergencies until help arrives. Also included are CPR and AED. $65
Youth Babysitting Course
Saturday, June 2, 8:30 a.m.
-3 p.m. This class gives youth ages 11 and older the skills necessary for safe and responsible care of children in the absence of their parents or guardians. Covers problem solving and accident prevention, first aid, safe play and more. $45
Birth and Parenting Preparation Series, Weeknight
May 3, 10, 17, 24, 6:30-9:30 p.m. This class series focuses on preparation for labor, birth and early parenthood. Topics include relaxation and breathing and tools to help you cope with labor. $105
Birth and Parenting Preparation, Weekend
June 22-23, Friday, 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
This class is an abbreviated version of the weeknight class, and is scheduled on a weekend. $105
Refresher for Birth and Parenting Preparation
Call to schedule $65. New Brother, New Sister: Tuesdays, June 5, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Designed for children 2-1/2 to 10 years old, this class helps prepare children for the new baby’s arrival. Parent and child participate in activities designed to increase their knowledge of a new baby’s appearance and capabilities. $30 per family
Breastfeeding Preparation, Lactation Basics
June 7, 6:30-9 p.m. Includes an introduction to the basics of breastfeeding and resources for ongoing support. Your partner is encouraged to attend, as well as others who will support you after your baby is born. $35
All About Babies
Thursdays, May 31, 6:30-10 p.m. Provides expectant and adoptive parents with important information about infant care and development. $55
Birth Center Tour
Tuesdays, May 8, 6-7 p.m. or 7:15-8:15 p.m.
Saturday, June 16, 9-10 a.m. or 10:15-11:15 a.m. Free to parents who plan to give birth at Buffalo Hospital. Includes labor and delivery rooms, postpartum.
