At some point late night Thursday or early morning Friday, March 30-31, seven storage units at Ridge Road Rental Self Storage on Highway 15 and Powder Ridge Road (just north of Kimball) were burglarized. Door handles were broken off, and it appeared that some doors were pried open from the bottom.
One renter was there Friday morning, assessing the damage to her unit. She was in the process of moving, and all her belongings were in the unit. The criminals took ?Äúweird things?Äù she said, like half of her bed and an end table. Other items were simply left in the driveway. Only the inside units, not visible from the road, were broken into. Owners are still attempting to contact renters about stolen property.
