Cubs lose to Royals
Kimball traveled to Royalton Tuesday, Sept. 8, for a match against the Royals. The Cubs worked hard in game 1 to defeat the Royals, but the serving from Paiten Schreiner and Kaylee Petty helped the Cubs take the lead and the victory.
In game 2, Kimball struggled early and allowed the Royals to get an early lead of 7-2 only to catch up but lost in the end. Game 3 was the deciding game of the match, with both teams working hard to earn the win as the score see-sawed back and forth until 10-10. Kimball earned 2 more points and thought they were on their way to a victory, only to lose the serve and allowed Royalton to finish the game and match and earn the victory.
Game scores were: 25-20; 20-25; 12-15.
