Hear ye! Hear ye! King Arthur’s Court comes to Kimball Community Playhouse. Watch as the Knights of the Round Table fight for Right, for Justice, and for … the Olde English way. Witness history’s greatest love triangle as Guenevere chooses between King Arthur and Sir Lancelot. Weather the spectacle of grown men dancing in manly tights. The legend of King Arthur comes to life when Camelot opens at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in the Kimball Area High School Cafetorium, with additional evening performances July 17 and 18, and a Sunday matinee performance at 2 p.m. July 19. Tickets are currently on sale at Chickadee Floral and the State Bank of Kimball, or can be purched by contacting Robin Dockery. Adult tickets are $10, with senior/student tickets selling for $8. Discount/reserve seating tickets are available with purchase of a KCP membership.
Camelot tells the story of King Arthur, his fair Lady Guenevere, and Sir Lancelot, and the Knights of the Round Table and is based on T.H. White’s tale The Once and Future King. Jody Markgraf directs the cast while Cherie Ploof provides musical direction and Cathy Olson provides the choreography. Brad Busse, Joanna Geppert, and Luke VanMeveren lead the cast as King Arthur, Lady Guenevere, and Sir Lancelot, with Kyle Messer providing comic relief as Mad King Pellinore. Amanda Kuseske is Morgan Le Fay, and Michael Meraz plays the devious Mordred. Chelsey Maus makes a cameo appearance as Nimue, and Roger Golby weaves his magic as Merlin the Magician. The talented cast is eager to take the stage and promises great entertainment!
