The St. Cloud State University (SCSU) girls’ choirs – Cantabile and Choristers – will present their final concert of the year at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at St. Francis Xavier Church in Sartell. The girls have been working hard all year on pieces ranging from show tunes to spiritual songs. The Cantabile girls’ choir will perform after returning from their spring tour to Fargo, No. Dak. Four local girls are members of the choirs – Jenifer Gilpatrick is a member of Choristers and Erin Gilpatrick, Amanda Kuseske and Kelsey Vigoren are in Cantabile. The SCSU choirs, under the direction of Mary Jo Bot and Jane Oxton, are part of the preparatory music program offered by SCSU, for girls in grades 4-8. This will be a great night of music and everyone is welcome to attend. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be taken with all proceeds specifically benefiting the choir program.
