Girls: Eleanor, Amelia, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Emma, Harper, Lainey, Olivia, Sophia, Willow.
Here are some more fun statistics about last year’s babies:
• More than 3,800 babies were born at CentraCare hospitals in 2024: 3,816 to be exact. Compared to 2023, the number of births was down by only 28.
• Almost an even split in 2024: 51% boys and 49% girls.
• The most popular day of the week for births: Friday.
• The month with the most babies born: October.
• The month with the least babies born: September.
• There was a baby born in a CentraCare facility EVERY DAY of 2024.
• Ten babies were born on Leap Day 2024.
• In 2023, the most popular boy’s name was Oliver, and the most popular girl’s name was Hazel. This year’s top girl’s name (Eleanor) wasn’t even in the top 10 in 2023. And Hazel isn’t in the top 10 for this year.
